The fictions in our own lives about our own lives can bring us
  happiness or sadness.
We're not sad for the reality. We're sad for the neverwas.
Fictional happiness leads to Fictional sadness. Happiness that
is real is of a much different nature and does not have the
appearance of the fictions in any way. You know when you're
happy. You carry it with you through sadness. You carry it with
you through giddiness, and giddiness is what most people mistake
for "happy". Happy does not even require a smile. It's from a
deep, endless reservoir that never empties, an engine that keeps
turning without fail. Kenneth Udut, Christmas Day, 2015
