As long as people believe there is a Science to Rational
  Thinking, and as long as people believe that Philosophy is the
  Science of Rational Thought, it'll continue though. More strides
  in Cognitive Psychology and CogSci in generally should
  -hopefully- help with that somewhat though. I still don't think
  it's purposeless though. It's one of the humanities.
