I've actually drawn up several religions for the purpose. One of
  my favorites is a scientific religion. All the songs would be
  based on accepted scientific things - physical phenomenon, the
  elements, forces, a particular animal, etc. There'd be a science
  experiment every week on stage and discussions afterwards about
  various topics. Set up similarly to church services. The
  intention is a respect for the world-as-it-is as far as we know,
  a gratitude. Not pantheism just gratefulness. Then all of the
  marvelous social benefits that come with the communities formed
  around church structures would come with it. I've had others as
  well, centered around various different things but generally
  would be excuses for people to gather in community. I, too, am
  concerned about the lack of community for men. I don't know if
  women have it easier honestly but I know men have few social
  outlets like this. Bars? Sports? Not a whole lot of options.
