- the fictional selves and our real selves come together in
myriad and strange ways, making all of them true. The NEXT step,
upon recognizing that, is exactly what you're talking about:
Knowing the difference. We sometimes spend time THINKING we're
denying the impact of our fictional roads-not-travelled but
instead we're obsessing over them. "I should've done this, I
should've done that". But by thinking about it, you ARE doing
this and you DID do that. It's affecting the present. Recognize
their commingling, and then I think it's possible to separate
them properly.
