Well, there's always ways around that. smile emoticon I could be
  a bachelor as in someone who got a bachelor's degree (ok,
  uncommon usage). Or a "bachelor for Christ" (if that exists) in
  a religious context, who is legally unmarried yet spiritually
  married, etc. Or someone who 'considers himself" a bachelor,
  even though once married: or someone who takes off their ring to
  go to Las Vegas and is a bachelor for the weekend to have a few
  flings. Its one of the things I love about the flexibility of
  language honestly: it's not mathematical.
