Same things happen everywhere. Ppl are addicted to the "idea of
progress" and expect new things. They expect the world and
discoveries to happen more dramatically and at a faster pace
than is realistically possible. But more often than not, common
is presented as novel. Old ideas come up over and over again
under new names... All to create an artificial battle with good
guys and bad guys, teams to root for and some crisis that needs
resolution. It's a show.
