consider if you might be comparing you present 'you' against a
previous age? It's not uncommon, for example, for someone who is
24, to feel old. But that is because they are old for 16 year
olds not old for 30 year olds. It's not uncommon for someone who
is 70 to feel old but that is because they are comparing
themselves to their 45 year old self and not their 80 year old
self. In short, you're the age you are. Plus consider: If you
achieve all of your goals, technically that's a success, right?
But really, it's not is it? I think goals are over-rated myself.
I'm not goalless but I don't think of things in terms of goals.
I see things in terms of projects. I go from project to project
to project. There's only so many years on this planet and I want
to understand everything. I'm 43 and I'm getting there. I'm
working on understanding myself primarily. I don't know if there
will be enough time in one life to understand myself, nevermind
the rest of humanity. But the more I work on understanding
myself, the more insights I get on others, sometimes right,
sometimes wrong. But it's never dull.
