That's what i believe utilizing the choices we _do_ have is all
  about: It's part of the rules for self-modification of the
  system itself. We already have the tools available :) == . I
  think that's basically true what you said, although I wouldn't
  say it's totally hands off for us. The systems adjust and while
  we might not have direct control of the system, as if being a
  programmer of the system, nevertheless we can influence the
  program thereby changing the system, indirectly but powerfully.
  I'll give an example: Look at noticing. The power of noticing.
  Noticing yourself. Noticing your own systems. Noticing the
  systems around you. Not even changing a thing yet. Just...
  noticing. == There's a simple trick I figured out years ago for
  that: Right now, move your head up and to the left and look.
  Away from the screen. Up and to the left and let your eyes go as
  FAR away as they can and take in what they see. If it works for
  you like it does for me, I suddenly experience the present
  moment snapping into place. It's a simple three second trick but
  it feels like waking up for the first time. ==
