Strangely written article: They seemed disappointed. QCD + all
  of Quantum Field Theory is looking stronger than ever. It says
  "nothing spectacular to report" but to be honest, I find THIS to
  be _quite_ spectacular. No flat dimensions were found. With a
  bit of looking at alternate theories, we could likely find a
  number of theories that might have just lost a bit of ground in
  the horse race of competing ideas. I personally find
  confirmation of working ideas to be more exciting than the usual
  "Everything You Ever Knew Just Turned Upside Down". I like
  knowing what we know so far is working and working well.
