Thank you Chas. It is also why I don't worry about whoever gets
  into power generally. All the blah-blah talk that goes on during
  campaigning or giving speeches and what not, amounts to fluff
  UNLESS there are laws and constitutional changes that affect the
  critical secularism of the USA. That's why the white house press
  secretary spoke up when he did. Such a rare event for that. But
  Trump was treading on _very_ wrong ground there when he crossed
  that line the other day. He can still sorta get away with it
  because he's campaigning but if by some weird reason he became
  president (I doubt he'll make the republican nomination process
  although I'm ready to be surprised), the checks + balances
  system, the laws, the constitution, would necessarily prevent
  that from happening. Not that it's _impossible_ for the US to
  become a theocracy but I find it very unlikely.* We've survived
  with our secularism for THIS long. Of course, I could be way off
