That's cool. The times I've had insurance I avoided complaining
about certain things for precisely that reason: Before something
is a pre-existing medical condition, it's fine with the current
insurance but then when insurance changes it BECOMES
pre-existing from THAT company's POV and then any of the initial
assistance goes away. I never liked that setup.   That's cool.

been avoiding it (because I know if you wait long enough, you
get a letter that tells you what you need to do... and because
sometimes a LOT changes from the initial 'push' of new programs
by the time the letter arrives in the mail). Same thing with the
home refinance thing. Love the idea, then I saw how banks had
sneaky ways of pushing back, leaving some ppl high and dry (wait
  - that'd be wet and cold) without homes. So, we still pay 6.875%
even though probably _nobody_ does anymore because once you open
your mouth and complain, something changes that you can't go
back on. == I'd have considered the refi but when they changed
the whole credit system to require proof of income for... well..
EVERYTHING it felt rather invasive. I'm not making what I did to
_get_ the thing but we're hanging on. I don't mind the IRS
knowing my income: That's their job and as much as I could
complain about typical wasteful spending, that's the
politician's job: to waste our money. But beyond the IRS, ain't
nobody's business tongue emoticon I don't want to undo past
efforts just for a faint chance of making month-to-month life
  easier.
