When I have to look at news, I try to get beyond BBC (and
  definitely past american news). I like seeing the opinions of
  RT, Al-Jezeera and, oddly enough sometimes, Christian Science
  monitor. All of them shoot for unbiased as best they can, while
  at the same time, they're not hiding their _potential_ bias.
  Sometimes I'll even poke my nose into conspiracy theorist sites
  to see their opinions and try to draw upon what I know of
  history to form opinions. I find most answers end up being
  rather multi-faceted things although sometimes, someone's just a
  nut-ball in power tongue emoticon
