Well, here: [I'm referring to the KKK comment comaring it to
Islamaphobia ] Still, there's ideas and practice. The KKK isn't
bad in itself as a discussion group. They want to talk about
white power and rant that white people are getting unfair
treatment or whatever they complain about, I don't have a
problem with that. It's actions. The actions require action.
I'll provide another example, one more awkward. Pedophilia.
Undoubtedly there are men and women who are in teaching
professions, work with kids, etc who have more than a pure
interest in expanding the minds of the next generation. It's
likely there's teachers/adult leaders in all of our pasts whose
inner minds we would be horrified to see. It's also possible
there are none. But I find that unlikely. Yet, where does the
difference lie? Civility vs action. There's thankfully few
people in the world that are proclaiming this as an ideology to
follow. It's more of a medical condition than an ideology in any
case. I suspect very few with that condition actually *act* on
it. They know better. But we have civility. We have human
decency. We have humanistic values that are generally common.
There are exceptions that need to be fought against when their
actions don't match. The actions must be fought.. Fighting
against someone's beliefs has limited value beyond "let's get
along and don't do wrong".
