Awesome - yeah it's a hard habit to break. What makes it tricky
  is that it's not wrong to think that way, just as it's not wrong
  to see mathematics as foundational for the Universe. But it's
  not completely right when it goes a little too far and becomes a
  "This Explains Everything with this beautiful drawing and
  supporting maths". There's always pesky reality to contend with
  smile emoticon My base unit tends to be metaphors/analogies,
  which is why I give them my harshest poking, prodding and
  criticism as well. Tools for understanding can wear thin after a
  while, so they sometimes need to be replaced smile emoticon
