Issues are always more complex than they appear on the surface.
What we learn in school and especially what media tells us are
the reasons for things are an over-simplified story that glosses
over a great amount of complexity that you find in reality. My
point is: It's *just as* ridiculous to say, "These are Muslim
wars" as it is to say, "These are atheist wars". History isn't
physics and shouldn't be treated as such, nor is it always clear
and logical. It's important to get beyond apologetics, --
Christian ideals don't wage wars. Yet people wage wars 'in the
name of Christianity". Buddhist ideals don't wage wars. Yet
people wage wars "in the name of Buddhism". etc. And currently,
a war against religion is being waged "in the name of Atheism",
even if it isn't atheism. Can't say no dead bodies yet there.
Yet, I don't attribute that to atheism either, even if many do.
And people have been slaughtered in "in the name of " many many
things. But correlation doesn't imply causation. Naming isn't
claiming. World's more complicated than all that. -- Right now,
you are defending atheism. You are practicing what's called
Apologetics. I can search for some of the sentences you've said
and find them in millions of places all around the Internet. I'd
like to get beyond that. I'm not attacking atheism. I'm
attacking sloppy thinking. --
