  so right -- everybody needs SOMETHING greater than themselves.
  Religious people have God, or something like God. People deeply
  into Science have their Awe of the Universe, or awe of
  mathematics, or awe of physics or whatever. It's the people who
  are in Awe of Nothing - perhaps merely in awe of their own
  cleverishness or in awe of their ability to get one over on
  their fellow man, where the highlight of the day is, "Look what
  I got away with today!" - that's the people who must truly be
  unhappy to the core. I speak mostly of Lawyers, of course. "
