Pigs became food. Chickens - we've had three or four batches of
chickens. 1st batch (9 yrs ago) got their heads ripped off by a
raccoon. We learned "double up and overlap chicken fence).
Roosters, who ran free for years and years here, ended up
getting snatched one by one by a bobcat (about three/four years
ago). and the last batch of chickens I got about a year ago - 8
killed in two days by a skunk (gruesome deaths) - and the other
four lasted for about 8 months before a 2nd skunk got them in
one night. So we learned: Make sure the chicken wire goes ALL
THE WAY TO THE ROOF because SOMETHING will climb in eventually.
(a six inch gap was all it took). "
