A lot of lawyer and doctor stuff is the same way. Fancy
  terminology for things that are otherwise easy to explain. Most
  things could be explained to a 5th grader. It might take a few
  more words but it's perfectly possible to be completely accurate
  with simpler language. But complex language in many professions
  is job security. I've seen it in the I.T. field - and I've
  always been the oddball who refused to talk that way. No
  acronyms for me, please. But I've never been the kind of guy who
  felt, "There is a proper word for everything, and that is the
  word you must use". No - to me, UNDERSTANDING is the most
  important thing and if it takes a few more words to describe
  something, then do it that way. "
