Comparative religious studies is about the only non-theological
academic study that comes close to bringing up God but even
then, it's from a sociological point of view.
It's only when getting into Marx and Nietzsche that it comes
close to what you're talking about, but in general, it's in the
adult "choice" schooling rather than forced compulsary
education.
