Here is an unexpected one: Russell Ackoff. He gave talks through
his life on Systems. Cybernetics. How things functions as wholes
and not parts. I snagged a clip from a longer talk he gave and
highlighted a few bits because he so impressed me.
You have to get over the bad video quality. It's not polished
like Ted Talks are. It's an older video. But just listen. He
doesn't get woo mystical about any of it. He's so matter-of-fact
and yet I still find myself going, Yes a lot.*
I only discovered him about nine months ago, but it confirmed a
lot of what I suspected. It's a problem we don't address even
today, not very much... not without lots of woo and mystery.
It's worth 5 minutes.*
