People with a little less power hear the same things from the
people with a little more power: Your right to complain is
limited. You should consider yourself lucky. Be grateful.
The thing is, it's not that those in power are wrong. They're
right. But also, they're wrong. You see this pattern at every
level, from the largest human organizations to the smallest
social units. It's a strange pattern and it's likely we've each
by on both sides of the conversation at one time or another. I'm
not complaining - I'm grateful; just a strange thing.
