I believe a system called pure reason that can be devised and
  works well for discerning truth-values.

But does it tangibly exist in reality? I don't think it does.
Cognitive Science and the circuitry shows me that there's no
pure reasoning systems and even pointing to people with broken
amygdalas cannot make decisions properly when they have to rely
heavily on the prefrontal cortex for most of the heavy work.
They just... can never decide things, not without great
  difficulty.

of course I'm stepping outside of philosophy but I can't ignore
  what I know smile emoticon
Talking about reason to me is akin to taking about love. I don't
believe a noun called Love exists. Nor do I believe that a noun
called Reason exists. But I believe that Love and Reason are
processes - they are Verbs. You are loving [something] or You
are reasoning [about/with something]. But Reason I do not think
  exists without the reasoner reasoning.
