It wasn't a waste of time for me. I save my more interesting
portions of things to [1]
http://icopiedyou.com as a searchable
archive of my brain out of context. It's not there for anybody
else really but mostly as a memory jogger for myself and also so
that I can stay intellectually honest.
I'm in the ongoing process of scientifically evaluating and
re-evaluating my own positions on various subjects. My stances.
How am I thinking. How did my thinking change over time.
Right now, I'm collecting bits of raw data.
My goal was not to convince you "I'm right, you're wrong".
My goal was to accept the challenge in order to broaden my
knowledge and ability to explain and refine my positions on
things... to understand my own tactics a little better. I want
to know what resources I trust and which ones I don't.
Through debate, my sword gets sharpened against sword and no
battle is wasted.
I don't have much in the way of a priori here.
But if winning a debate is important to you, here: You win. You
have presented a logical, coherent argument based upon your set
of assumptions to prove whatever you were trying to prove. I'm
not sure what that was, but I'm sure you proved it in your
fashion.
