  body of what encompasses intellectualism;*

  missing pieces. It may require some imagination or "What If?"
  ability, or it may require what they like to call "lateral
  thinking".

  In other words, it's your preferred methodology but it is not
  the only methodology in ascertaining truth-value. Also,
  sometimes an intellectual discussion is not about ascertaining
  truth-value at all.*
