Interesting thing about spontaneous symmetry breaking to me is
  just how little it would take. One flipped charge. Some 'thing'
  that was overcrowded by the tiniest bit of pressure difference,
  messing up the perfect angles that everything was at and then
  the perfect set of dominoes would begin to fall without a nice
  table to fall onto because it WAS the table and the dominoes and
  all the spaces inbetween. Yup - I often come up with easily
  comprehended analogies / metaphors for complicated things
  because I work with kids a lot, mostly online entertainment, as
  well as hoardes of nieces and nephews through the years with
  impossible questions.
