Hawking was good at Black Hole stuff. His social commentaries,
to me, tend to be a bit extreme for my taste. People are good at
what they're good at but when they step out of their realm of
expertise, they're not necessarily that smart.
WIthin someone's field, that's the lens they see the world
through and gloss over factors that aren't within their
expertise.
