  Sunshine Law. EVERYTHING that happens is available online for
  anyone in the world to look up.

  Most other states have mostly hidden crimes, including
  shootings. Privacy laws and stuff.

  No privacy in Florida though, so it APPEARS there's more nuts
  here. But really, it's that the rest of the country's DA's
  offices, police depts and prosecutor's offices keep things quiet
  to give the appearance of safer communities than they really are
