I suspect that's very much the case, yes. There's a historical
  continuity between Trinity concept, Protestant Reformation, the
  growth of Natural Philosophy, the Scientism of the 19th century
  and then, when classical mechanics ceased to make sense, the
  only somewhat relateable thing quantum physics could turn to for
  analogies/metaphorical constructs was the Trinity construct.

  Unconsciously? Probably. But it's there.
