  psychology.*

  Around the age of 7 years old, humans gain a social awareness.
  Within this social awareness, is learning something VERY VERY
  IMPORTANT:

  "I can lie. I can have my own thoughts and nobody will ever
  know. I can pretend to comply while really thinking my own
  thoughts."

  Today with my nephew who is 10 years old, I was helping him
  figure out a way he could "show his math work" (his school is
  Common Core alas) to the teacher, even though he did it in his
  head.

  Back when he was 8, he bitched about "show your work". He knew
  it was bullshit.*

  Blind obedience?*

  When?

  Maybe before the age of 7. Maybe.

  Beyond that? We have minds of our own.
