Well the usefulness level is that I'm aware of my own internal
processes as they click about and do their thing.
Knowing what's "out there" vs what's "in here" is very helpful
in discerning truth from fiction, not just in myself but also in
  others.

Doesn't make me smarter, just gives me a few extra tools to
discern with which are entirely subjective but they're like
  "intuition sharpeners".

I don't "see" bullshit when I hear it from somebody per se -
it's not like synethesia or anything like that.. but it's sort
of like a sense. It's not just rational or emotional; it has the
sensation of a quick calculation, one that I could explain if
necessary to others, but it makes rational sense in how I
  cognitively process.

Just another tool in a toolset of discernment. I know when
thoughts arrive in my mind and when they leave, when feelings
come and go, how long they last, when stress is coming on and
how to banish it before anyone outside of 'myself' would even
  know it was happening.

So, it's a self-control tool. Perfect? Heck no. But it's
  helpful.
