Agreed. There's always another choice that's not on the list.
  Really, there's no list. The list is a socially agreed upon
  'thing' and, well, if you don't agree to the list, while the
  society who WANTS or is accustomed to the list may bring
  consequences upon you (like laws or social ostracizing of some
  kind), nevertheless, you STILL have the freedom.

  Now if you want society to AGREE with the not-on-the-list
  choices .. well... that's another story smile emoticon
