[I had a grandmother who was into ancient astronauts and the
power of myth type of stuff, did Yoga,, my mother fed us yogurt
back in the late 70s/early 80s and was into health food... [I
was eating Carob Bean instead of chocolate in the early 80s.
CAROB BEANS!]
...so in retrospect, I think I probably had an eclectic
upbringing, or at least brought up in somewhat New Age beliefs
[even though I went to the methodist church for Sunday school
back then]
Rejected it around the age of 14 (the New Age stuff) but I'm
usually able to spot it when I see it.
Their magic is customizing the text while changing the context.
By manipulating the context of a person's text, you can cause
them to imply many things.
It works particularly well with logical thinkers because they
focus on the text only and not the context.
Transcendental Meditation is an amazingly powerful worldwide
movement and I have nothing against what they do per se...
except when they take liberties with the words of dead people.
They've done some horrible things to Tesla's words, but then
again, one of his early biographies in 1917 that he signed did
as well.
It used "I", and Tesla even gave it a thumbs up and endorsed it
but, to me, being Ghostwritten and endorsing it isn't the same
as writing something yourself and should be treated as
distinctly separate for clarity's sake.
