I kinda liked Gansta Rap when it came out. Also liked the dance
music - the speed was great. Today's speed is
SLOOOOWWWEEEERRRRRR.... I like speed.
I'm 43 years old. I'm weird. I loved Dubstep the moment I heard
it while everybody else complained and a lot of today's more
creative musicians, as well as chiptunes - love the chiptune
phenomenon. I think the 90s produced some of the best Heavy
Metal with Tool and such, although the Screamo phase which
followed, I was glad to see its popularity wane - I knew too
many people who THOUGHT they could do screamo and couldn't and..
they liked practicing on my eardrums. Nothing against screamo
but.. when it's done wrong.. it's.. done... wrong.
Very artsy, the 90s. It also was very introspective music. Early
part of the 90s had Indigo Girls and the kind of stuff you hear
in coffee houses now; it's melancholy on tap but it's nice to go
back sometimes.
there's some great remixes of 90s music that people make today.
I guess I'm nostalgic for the 1990s... BC...
