  It must have a time limit because they could've gone back in
  Time, blessed Adam and Eve and hit all the animals on Noah's Ark
  a few thousand years later, and all the progeny would get the
  blessed gene instead of the deformed copies we get..

  Wait. That wouldn't work. Then all life would be OP and we know
  how dull it gets after a while when everybody's in God mode.
