<<I work with things that are "true enough". >> That sounds
quite subjective. What is your standard?
My standard? Do you mean an absolute?
a) I'm here. How? I see my fingers typing and moving.
b) The world around me is here. I experience it through whatever
means I experience it with.
c) My belief and my thoughts and my reasonings are all
interrelated. They can be distinct at times, but they all feed
each other.
My job is to have discernment. Am I being emotionally pulled in
a particular direction? Is this changing my belief? Is my belief
stirring up an emotional response in me? Is my reasoning clouded
by emotion? Is my emotion being fed by my reasoning?
Feed forward loops, basically and a continual process of
evaluation and reevaluation.
What's my standard?
Seems right.
Can I prove it to someone else?
Depends on their ability to understand me. Depends on my ability
to successfully communicate my thoughts to them.
So, it's only subjective until someone agrees with me, or I
agree with them. Then it starts becoming objective.
Yet, the world is here. I'm here. I don't need to prove such
things. I'd make a terrible Buddhist smile emoticon
This was probably a ridiculous answer, and i hope you call me
out on it.
