I've done work in artificial intelligence and understand how it
works, ever since college in 1990 which.. I never finished, but
the concepts in AI, neural networking and how to enact machine
learning to emulate certain similar forms to suspected human
thought processes is not terribly difficult.
I'm a fan of AI as it stands. But I've seen no evidence of the
AI spoken of in post humanist terms. I know there are
programmers and programmers, engineers, and specifications. Done
correctly, AI can offload a lot of human effort onto machines,
just as we humans have always done.
But I don't see a magic in it per se. To me, it's just another
program run on another machine.
