It's possible: I'm a fan of Kurzweil: The Kurzweil K250 was
  DREAM machine when I saw it unveiled on a "Future Tech" show
  when I was 10 yrs old and it had just come out. [before that
  keyboards were beep and boop and their piano modes were crap] -
  and I got to play one when I was 11/12 yrs old and it was
  showcased in a piano store. I nearly cried at the quality of it;
  it was so novel; perfect blend of the electronic perfection I
  like along with an actually realistic piano sound. First time my
  ears heard the two together.

  Later on, I remember his Kurzweil's Cybernetic Poet online. That
  was a lot of fun.

  But... I never bought into his singularity idea. I like it; and
  it's nice that it gained popularity and I like the utopian
  dreams of post humanism but... I just can't swallow it. I _want
  to_ but, like Moore's Law was incorrect, the Dow didn't hit
  30,000 in the year 2000, dreams of progress such as this are in
  the realm of science fiction... as much as I want to believe in
  them to be true.
