Oh, it's ok for me as I am strong and coped well with it.
But, to me, it's sad that even in 2015, kids aren't graded on
passion. I consider that just about the BIGGEST FLAW in
Education. Period.
I read the book Summerhill by J.S. Neill when I was 14 years
old; same time I read Unschooling and a few other books on
experimental Education.
8th grader, about to go into high school.
I wanted Summerhill _so badly_. I tried to make it happen for
myself by customizing my experience as best I could. Thankfully,
I was able to go to a private school instead of public thanks to
a scholarship (writing contest), and being a very small school,
I got a bit of it.
Had I gone to the large local public school, I wouldn't have
gotten any of it. I'm grateful.
