I did an visual/sensory experiment a while back. I walked up my
driveway in the pitch black, and imagined that, in those thick
woods by my driveway, contained all the knowledge of the
Universe.
How much can I see?
At first, it was just the edges of some grey looking things. So,
I moved my phone over so the light shined against them.
Suddenly, they were green and had some texture and
"stickoutedness". They were 3D.
The intensity of light made them longer and take up more space.
I turned the flash on my phone to steady and brought it closer.
The obscurity faded and suddenly I could see the roots of the
plants. The intensity of light make the appearance of the object
even larger, more detailed. As far as I knew, THIS was all the
knowledge in the Universe that there was, is and ever will be.
But a brighter light (a flashlight in my backpocket), showed me
there was even MORE to be seen and experienced.
