It was one of those stupid trick questions, at least if your
class was doing the Crucible the same way mine was, which it
probably is, because they love tricking people on school tests.
*[surprisingly, beyond school, when you take a test, you'll be
refreshingly shocked to find out that they practically GIVE YOU
the answers to make it easier to pass... unlike school, where
they like to throw tricks that make it hard to do well]. Anyway,
according to some study notes I found online, there was this:
"From what paradox did the Salem tragedy develop? Theocracy
developed so the colony could survive; This unity was a threat
The wic hunt was a result of a kind of panic that developed when
a need for individual freedom began to be felt" You know what
this says to me, and excuse the language... bullshit. *That
answer makesno sense. *But I remember my teacher wanting us to
give this for an answer and it really ruined the Crucible for
me, because up until then, I kinda like the play/story/whatever
it was.
