well, the metaphor thing was the "it" for the analytical
  philosophy. Philosophy and logic was never my native tongue but
  I learned enough to it (or rather, the language of the people
  who are fans) to be fluent enough in it. It was a bit of a
  foreign language to me until then. After a protracted battle of
  transcendental logic vs metaphors with me and Seedy and he
  declared his victory, I knew he was missing the "key element" I
  was trying to get at. As I used him as my authority marker for
  Logic, I knew I'd reached a critical limitation of it and
  Philosophy-as-it-stands and was satisfied.
