Yes, I too have to be careful with most people, so I definitely
understand. It's a rare treat reading your comments, and that
last comment is especially amazing to me because I feel as if I
could've written it. *I'm not used to that and I like it. *I
don't expect it, nor would I expect it to always be like that
but seeing what feels like my words written from elsewhere than
here is liberating; I know I'm not alone in my way of thinking.
Yes, people so often define themselves solely by who they are
not... and I try to be careful because I find myself falling
into that trap as well. *I work hard to eliminate it but it's a
lifelong struggle that gets easier with each challenge. I like
agreement yet I don't like being an "us' that's vs a "them" -
whenever that happens I immediately sympathize with the "them"
over the "us" because it's rare that there's a time there isn't
SOMETHING redeemable within the "them". *There's always
something in someone that's worth celebrating while also
noticing the issues. I have more I want to say on this; and I
will, but for the moment I'm grateful that we share a point of
view on some key things that are very important to me; the value
of stepping outside of yourself to see yourself and the world
from a more holistic/global perspective while not also losing
  yourself in the process.
