100 cards, yikes! I remember punch card machines when I was very
little, at the offices my mother worked at. Fell in love with
the IBM Selectric "typing feel" and the ozone smell as it ran.
Never had the opportunity to work with punch cards though. They
were starting to be replaced with PCs bit by bit.
I remember being there one day as a kid, bored, and I launched
BASIC (I think it was BASICA) and I did a:
10 for a = 1 to 20000
20 sound a, 1
30 next a
RUN
and people came RUNNING IN thinking an alarm was going off. Mom
wasn't happy tongue emoticon It was the county's prosecutor's
office - you know, courts, lawyers, criminal justice hehe
