I'd say I'm Independent. I usually register as such. I've never
  registered democrat or republican. Heck, I voted for H.Ross
  Perot tongue emoticon It's probably because of the 1980 prez
  election: I was REALLY little... gosh, 7-8 yrs old. And I
  remember this OTHER GUY... they kept calling him Dark Horse or
  something. John Anderson I think. I remember being fascinated by
  the idea of someone who can possibly "topple over the system" (I
  didn't know what 'the system' was ... heck, I still don't REALLY
  know what they were talking about) and other things they talked
  about at the time, just by showing up and being there.

  I don't know if _that's_ the reason or not, but I've never been
  fascinated with overt power. I think real power is simply
  showing up. smile emoticon
