  really weird definitions of words in the OED (Oxford English
  Dictionary), traced it back to the first full publication in
  1928 and found even WEIRDER definitions then...

  ..I realized that "definition" is far more vague and subject to
  human judgement error than I was taught to believe.

  So... while yes that _should_ be true by definition, definitions
  don't make things happen. Actions do. Predicted consequences
  tend to be more hope than solid, alas.
