haha - it's good to see. Yet, I fully expect spurious noise on
  the line in the future; I never expect a connection to remain
  stable but unlike modems, learning takes place amongst the
  spurious noise and the NORs back and forth.

  Poor computers. So binary. They don't know yet that all the new
  stuff happens in the error negotiation process and in all the
  illegal states.

  And a run condition? That SHOULD be a computer's epiphany. But
  they're not ready yet.
