I'm a history buff, so I find myself in that situation
  frequently. I've done a lot of unlearning what I was taught. I
  don't know as much about China as I'd like, but I was taught a
  lot of ahistorical things about the period of time between
  around 500ad - 1400ad that I had relearned properly in my 20s.
