For a REALLY nice treatment of the subject and its relation to
  Metaphors, see
  http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/awcgate/milreview/paparone_metaphors.pdf
  - it's only 10 pages long. Written by a PhD Air Force Colonel
for practical use - it describes how metaphors draw from various
unrelated sources that *seem* logical and rational but
ultimately can be very misleading and sway people.

It's called "Metaphors we are Led by". 10 pages. Worth the read.
Thanks - let me know what you think when you read it. I've been
studying metaphors and their relationship to truth + argument
and how people are swayed... but his chart of how different
schemas can be connected nearly imperceptibly (use of thought
experiments in Science / Philosophy all the way to Politicians
standing on a podium) - and you've just been convinced of
something and not even see it happening was one of those "oh
wow, yeah - he nailed it" moments.
