That's the thing about it to me. I mean, it's a great system,
  but it cuts. Over the course of history in the development of
  the System of Logic, it has improved. The cuts are finer, more
  realistic, but still digital.

  String theory is mathematical model. standard Model is closer to
  chemistry. String theory works on a computer. standard Model is
  testable.
