I don't do well "in person". I manage but I can only one on one,
  deep for any length and even THAT'S exhausting quickly. But
  group and/or shallow, I muddle my way through on route to an
  escape. Introversion is what it is... and other people suck it
  dry unless they meet certain limited parameters.

  Onlne, though, there's freedom. Before online, I had CB Radio as
  a teenager. Same concept, except we ALSO met at Dunkin Donuts or
  bowling now and again.

  FOr me, being abstracted from face-to-face-in-person by a level
  or two makes communication a LOT easier. I thrived in early chat
  rooms... which is why I treat everywhere I go like a chat room
  with an unlimited box.
